When is Pet Day?
Saturday, October 26, 2019, from 9:00 am. – 1:00 pm.
Pet Costume Contest
Get your furry family member in their Halloween costume and come to OBFS on October 26, 2019. In addition, Receive a free goodie bag and get their picture taken. Thereby all photos will be uploaded to our Facebook page for voting until noon on October 31, 2019. Also, the photo with the most votes receives a $100 Ocala Breeders’ Feed and Supply gift certificate.
Dog Agility Course
A dog agility course will be set up and open to the public. This is a club fundraiser for Kids and Canines 4-H Club, a local Marion County 4-H Club. The cost is $1.00 for one run or $5.00 for unlimited runs.
Basic Pet Training Seminar/Class by Jay Nix 10:00 am. – 12:00 pm.
Are you wanting to better communicate with your dog? Local dog trainer, Jay Nix, is giving a fantastic seminar/class from 10 am-12 pm. You can attend this with or without your dog. Mr. Nix brings 18 years of experience in training law enforcement, military, sport, and civilian dogs. He will discuss how to communicate better with your pet, address common problems multiple pet owners have, and take time for questions and answers. In addition, certain dogs will be selected to work with for demonstrating methods discussed throughout the seminar.
Visit with Vendors / Special Pricing
Pet vendors will be on-site to answer questions and visit with you about various products used for pets. Including Canidae, Champion Pet, Zignature, Vetericyn, and Organic Gut Solution.
Dog and cat items, including canned and dry dog food, are 15% OFF.
Photos with Prince
Tiny Prince Charming is going to be on-site for photo opportunities. This gentle giant is owned by Kimberden Farms and is part of their Horse Country Carriage Company and Tours team. Don’t miss this opportunity to get your photo taken with Prince. By the way, we are proud that the feed of choice for Prince and the other horses at Kimberden farms is OBS Sport.
The Fillies Pumpkin Patch
The Florida Throrobred Fillies Club is hosting a pumpkin patch. You can purchase pumpkins to carve for Halloween or accent your fall decor with. Also, They will also have some fun fall photo props in the pumpkin patch area.
There will be a KER Event Monday, February 3, 2020. Stop by there will be coffee and doughnuts.
KER, Kentucky Equine Research representative, Bob Wagner will be at the Highway 27 location from 10:00 am- 12:00 pm. Furthermore, He is available to answer questions and give recommendations on the nutritional supplements that KER produces.

Costume Contest
Get your pet’s best Halloween costume contest on and come down to the store on October 29th or 30th for a photo. Photos will be uploaded to Facebook and voted on the following week to determine our winner. The winner will receive a $100 gift card to OBFS. Pet goodie bags are given to the first 10 costume contestants.
Food Truck Friday – October 29, 2021. 11:00 a.m. – 5:50 p.m.
OBFS will be having a “Food Truck Friday,” each quarter. The first one will be on October 29th, in conjunction with our Pet Days 2021. Various food trucks are on-site for you to enjoy a bite from while you visit the store with your pets.

Photo Contest
Our annual photo contest will begin on October 28, 2022. Get your pet in their best Halloween costume and come on down. Friday through Saturday we will take pictures of your pets in costumes. We will upload the photos to our Facebook page to receive votes for our follower’s favorites. Voting will close on October 31, 2022. Plus, all contestants receive a goodie bag when their picture is taken. First through 3rd place will be awarded.

The pet costume photos will be uploaded on our Facebook page by October 30, 2023. Facebook followers will vote for the winner through midnight on October 31st. The winner will receive a large pet prize along with a $50 OBFS gift card.
